Integrated Management & Occupational Health and Safety Systems

Nu Style FM prides itself on delivering timely and competitive work with a strong focus in customer satisfaction, client and contractor safety, and product excellence.

To assure a safe, streamline service at every site, we apply an Integrated Management System which incorporates AS/NZS 45001, AS/NZS ISO 9001, and AS/NZS ISO 14001 standards.

The system establishes a framework for identifying risks, controlling risks, assessing the effectiveness of those controls and the continuous improvement of the management of quality, OHS and environmental.

Our IMS includes Policies and Procedures for:

  • Code of Conduct

  • Drug and Alcohol

  • Modern Slavery

  • Environment Conservation

  • Risk Assessments

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Motor Vehicle Usage

  • Safe Working at Heights

  • Infectious Disease Control

  • Your Health at Work

  • Injury Management and Rehabilitation

Copies of Policies and Procedures are available to clients and suppliers upon request.

All employees are also required to complete a JSA or Take 5 / Daily Risk Assessment (depending on the degree of maintenance/construction required) before any work commences.

For Project works, a Project Management Plan (PMP) and Statement of Methodology are also prepared by management and reviewed by all employees and contractors in Pre-Start Meetings.

Nu Style FM’s close communication channels and strict adherence to an Integrated Management System ensures that hazards are identified and reported to the appropriate authorities as or before they occur, and that employees are kept well-informed of and trained to manage site risks and requirements.

Employee Safety Awareness and Training

Nu Style FM maintains an Employee Qualification Register, which is updated regularly and used to ensure no employee is requested to conduct work or handle equipment they are not qualified for. This ensures a safe work environment where our team can confidently work within their capabilities and training.

This register is also used to identify areas of improvement, and our employees are regularly sent for specialised training or scheduled for work-specific inductions prior to work commencing.

Management hold both periodic and emergency Toolbox Meetings that are compulsory for all staff and documented for future reference. These meetings are designed to re-enforce appropriate behaviour and correct procedures on government and community sites.

We place particular focus on apprentices and trainees, providing them with a vast array of skills and experience. We provide  on-site training in sensitive environments such as schools, TAFES and health sites, resulting in highly skilled professionals for the West Australian Sector.
